Cris Egger Dame of the Royal House of Savoy, recently spent the evening at a stunning event with Baron Michel de Brawney, Marques Christophe Ghenassia and Marques Christophe Ghenassia to name but a few! Here we tell you more about the Ball of Baroness Béatrice.
The third edition of the Ball of Baroness Béatrice, organized by the Monegasque cultural association AIDA, was held once again at the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. This year, we revisited the splendour of Louis XV’s Royal Court.
On July 6, 2018, an increasingly international group of individuals gathered in the French Riviera to experience the enchantment of the Fêtes Galantes of the 18thcentury. Surrounded by the poetry of the House Musée’s flower gardens, the evening began with a welcome reception in a Cap-Ferrat park. There, AIDA brought to life the pastoral atmosphere of the Petit Trianon, where Louis XV and Madame de Pompadour loved to seek the simple life of the provincial nobility.
Throughout the night, beautiful marquises and gentlemen had fun petting rabbits and chickens while enjoying a snack in a French orchard. There’s no doubt that the wonderful culinary creations provided by the Chef of Traiteur Azuréen brought to life the spirit of libertinism that was so characteristic of the Age of Enlightenment. Then, guests were further satisfied with opera singer Vanina Aronica’s recital and a breath-taking performance by the Full Art acrobatic dancers in a tribute to Mozart. After a few waltzes on the terrace of the Villa, the Ball, directed by the DJ T-Wolf, came to a close on the patio of the Villa to the tune of contemporary songs calling to the frivolous and sensual spirit of the 18thcentury.
The 2018 edition of the Ball of Baroness Béatrice was particularly elegant, with its attention to historical detail and its casual chic atmosphere. Clearly, it has become one of the most unique and creative summer events on the French Riviera. The 2019 edition is looking even brighter—and of course, AIDA is already planning away. The Ball of Baroness Béatrice is a cultural event organized by the Monegasque cultural association AIDA to immerse its guests in a chosen historical period.
Thanks to its close collaboration with artists that are involved with the association, each year, AIDA builds a new visual, musical, and sensory world to let its guests better appreciate the legacy of past times and how they relate to our lives today.
